Luke started sailing at the age of nine when he joined the St. Margaret’s Sailing Club summer Opti intro program. From there, Luke progressed to the SMSC Opti Race Team and later joined COAST (Canadian Optimist Atlantic Sailing Team) where he began competing internationally. In 2011 Luke graduated to the Laser Radial and joined the RNSYS Race Team. A year later Luke won the Youth National Championships in Gimli, Manitoba. Since then, Luke has transitioned to the Laser Standard Olympic Class where he currently competes. Luke is also a studying business at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Luke’s ultimate goal is to bring home an Olympic medal for Canada.
